About Alma
Item 1 of 4

Alma Institute's mission is to advance health equity by strengthening and diversifying the field of legal psychedelic facilitators. We do this by offering prioritized enrollment and certification opportunities to qualified applicants who are People of the Global Majority, LGBTQ2s+, have low incomes, or who intend to serve these groups. We welcome all who share these values to apply.
Alma envisions a world where sacred medicines and psychedelic healing practices are not only available to diverse and marginalized communities, but where they uplift these groups' wisdom and support their leadership for generations to come. This way, the ancient field of psychedelic practice can help us create a more healed, just, compassionate, and connected world today.
Alma Institute is rooted in Indigenous wisdom, reciprocity, equity, accessibility, identity, relationship building, community allyship, and an understanding that healing is our birthright: that we must decolonize healthcare for the benefit of the individual and the community at large. These values guide our training methodologies and practices.
Alma Institute is an Oregon registered nonprofit. We are approved by the Oregon Health Authority and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission to provide psilocybin facilitator training in alignment with Measure 109, the Psilocybin Services Act.
